Acquisition History:
While its size evokes the command ships of the Empire, the Resurgent-Class recalls those of Republic-era capital ships from the Clone Wars. Her dorsal flight deck, side hangers and prominent keel are similar to elements of the Venator-Class Star Destroyer, reflecting a renewed appreciation among the Empires tacticians for capital ships' role as carriers. The Resurgent-class can launch her full complement of starfighters and assault ships much more quickly than her predecessors in the past. Other Imperial-era design flaws have also been rectified - the need for a better-protected command bridge with increased redundancy in command and control systems was a hard lesson learned from the loss of the Executor at the Battle of Endor.
In addition, an emergency bridge was located in the ships midsection, and was not exposed but built into the existing structure of the vessel. There, standby personnel would take control of the vessel's activities if the primary bridge were to be taken out of action. Despite this, sunken data pits continued to be used following the designs from Clone Wars-era Jedi cruisers owing to their importance in denoting command hierarchy. Simplified bridge displays with limited colors further aided bridge crews disseminate large amounts of complicated data quicker than before.
Unlike former Imperial-class Star Destroyers, TIE fighters were brought in from storage deeper in the vessel from launching racks, from where they would exit into space. The main hangar was positioned on the vessel's underbelly, where a docking claw aided vessels in landing and departing. The logistics hangar reception bay and ground vehicle storage were located near the main hangar. Another lateral flight deck was located in the ship's bow, and was used as a staging area for full-scale invasion operations.
Massive turbolaser turrets and heavy ion cannons dot the flanks of the Resurgent-class upper hull, with additional brace of forward batteries set on either side of the bow. Designed for orbital assaults and slugging matches with enemy capital ships, these turbolasers can overload shields, punch through thick armor and reduce planetary surfaces to molten slag. In addition, the ships utilizes some of the advanced weapons technology provided by the original Black Sword shipyards and include a number of long-range turbolaser batteries. Smaller point-defense turrets and missiles emplacements complement these heavy weapons, tracking nimbler enemies and ordinance, while the Resurgent-Class TIEs stand ready to destroy starfighters ship-to-ship.
The ship was propelled by massive engines, thus requiring a subsidiary reactor, reactant silos and isotope containment wells at the stern. There, extra power would be derived while the coolant silo and pumps would help lower the temperature of the massive engines. Around the large circular engines were the main engine thrust nozzles, while the smaller engines would utilize secondary thrust nozzles to help bring greater control over the ship. The main engines were attached to magnetic turbines, along with an acceleration compensator. The hyperdrive generator was located at the very end of the ship's aft section.

Lego Star Wars Resurgent Class Star Destroyer
The first truly unique and new vessel designed by Black Sword Commands engineers, the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer was designed to be the next generation of Star Destroyers for the next generation of the Empire. Conceived completely independently from the Empire proper, in the Unknown Regions, utilizing a combination of experimental designs and concepts created by the original Galactic Empire when it controlled the Black Sword shipyards as well as the newer advances in both technology and ship design brought by the One Empire engineers and ship architects creating the vessel. It was a line of ships designed for Black Sword Commands sole purpose: to defend what remained of the Empire, and bring retribution to Imperial enemies. As such, the Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers are a devastating weapons platform and highly effective carrier, but it is also a symbol of the resolution and determination of the people of the Empire, designed to recall the era when Imperial might was at its greatest, and inspire awe in the Empires enemies. While its size evokes the command ships of the Empire, the Resurgent-Class recalls those of Republic-era capital ships from the Clone Wars. The ship's tractor beam projector was located at the very tip of the bow, while the flight deck deflector shield projector was located a short distance behind. The ships main hull defector shield projectors were located on both the port and starboard stern sections, while the domed-shaped bridge deflector shield projector encased the command bridge and its occupants, aided by a bridge deflector augmenter further up the ship's keel line. A bridge point-defense turret also helped further defend the bridge from starfighter attack.Unlike former Imperial-class Star Destroyers, TIE fighters were brought in from storage deeper in the vessel from launching racks, from where they would exit into space.
